Parenchymal lung changes on CT in patients with coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19)

INTRODUCTION Infections due to COVID-19 can lead life threatening pneumonia. Accompanying severe disease are more prominent pulmonary changes on Computed Tomography (CT) scan of the chest. The goal this study was describe CT during acute and at follow up whether extent correlate with severity illness, demographics or other risk factors. MATERIALS AND METHODS Included in all individuals that had confirmed came for a chest Landspitali from May September 2020. Information regarding medical history obtained retrospectively charts. All scans were reviewed using an international staging system evaluate lung changes. RESULTS Eighty-five patients mean age 59 years included study. Sixty (71%) hospitalized phase 18 (21%) admitted ICU.
